Mark has built instruments for many of the most notable names in Australian Music including Tommy Emmanuel. Mark learnt the art of Lutherie when at age 15 he was employed by Maton PTY LTD in 1989. Mark was trained by Matons Master Luthier Ron Smiley and played a role in the transition to the streamlined production that is seen today. Mark is one of just a few people fortunate to have worked in all 3 Maton factories and played a pivotal role in developing Matons Performer series. Section 8 Guitars continues Marks passion in crafting the best instruments available."
